Back to all projectsI designed a distinctive logo for Ethnikart, an e-commerce platform specializing in Indian ethnic wear, launched at http://ethnikart.com/. The logo, featuring a stylized lotus flower paired with elegant typography, embodies the brand's cultural heritage and modern appeal. This project, spanning from January 8, 2025, to April 12, 2025, showcases my ability to craft visually compelling branding elements that resonate with target audiences and enhance a business's online identity.
Creating a logo that balances traditional Indian cultural elements with modern e-commerce aesthetics presented several challenges. The design needed to be instantly recognizable, culturally authentic, and versatile enough to work across various digital and physical touchpoints while appealing to a diverse customer base with varying preferences for ethnic fashion.
I managed the entire logo creation process, from concept to final delivery. After conducting in-depth research into Indian culture and ethnic fashion trends, I developed a concept centered around the lotus flower—a symbol deeply rooted in Indian culture representing beauty, purity, and growth. The final design features a stylized orange lotus paired with custom typography that balances elegance with readability, creating a distinctive mark that embodies the essence of Indian ethnic wear.
Conducted comprehensive research into Indian cultural symbols, ethnic fashion, and e-commerce branding trends to inform the design direction.
Developed multiple conceptual approaches exploring various cultural symbols, typography styles, and color palettes aligned with the brand vision.
Created vector versions of the most promising concepts, refining the lotus symbol and typography for balance and harmony.
Explored color options, ultimately selecting warm orange tones that evoke energy and tradition, paired with neutral accents for sophistication.
Presented multiple design options to the client, incorporating feedback through several revision cycles to perfect the final design.
Prepared the final logo in multiple formats and variations, along with a style guide for consistent implementation across all brand touchpoints.
